The Empower program will provide those in need with help drafting resumes or completing job applications, interview training, job search skills and appropriate business attire in order to help them find lasting employment.

Breaking the cycle of poverty can be difficult, but it can be done. People don’t need a hand-out, they need a hand-up, and the SHAKTI Association wants to help.
This program is a partnership with social service agencies whereby those needing assistance are referred to the program and to SHAKTI.
We are seeking donations of new and gently used business attire for men and women. Items such as pants, skirts, blazers, shoes and dress shirts are needed, in all sizes and types. In addition, we are seeking donations of unopened toiletries.
SHAKTI is also seeking monetary donations, as well as volunteers to help short and categorize clothing donations and to ensure all donated items are in good condition.
